We aim to curate affordable collections for our customers, we believe that it shouldn't cost the earth to wear sustainable fashion. Our collections may cost more than fast fashion retailers, but this cost is the result of ethically made pieces by fairly treated garment workers. Sustainable fashion will therefor cost more because it is fair, which is at the heart of our business.
Everything returns to the earth as either food or poison.
We understand that masses of garments are thrown into landfill every year, made of polyester which is a plastic fabric. Every time you wash these polyester clothes, small microfibres go into the water system which is now polluting our oceans.
This is why we only stock natural fabrics from ethical sources. We stock tee’s and jeans made from Organic Cotton, Silky shirts made from Tencel and base layers made from Bamboo. We also stock pieces made from recycled polyester such as our range of Lefrik backpacks.
With the increase of importance put on sustainable living, more and more beautiful natural and sustainable fabrics are being developed, so we are never short of new things to show you.
Our products are certified by various organisations such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) PETA (approved vegan) Global recycled standard, Confidence in Textiles and more to make sure you know what you are getting in each product.
We source our stock from various sustainable companies, as well as create our own foundation collection. The companies we stock have ethical production at their core and only use manufacturers that are safe and fair. Each one is certified by one of these organisations such as ‘fair wear foundation’ ‘fair trade’ or ‘Peta approved’.
Our own foundation collection is made locally to us in Devon, by fairly paid machinists from organic and natural fabrics. Ethical supply chains is core to our values, we aim to only stock pieces that have been made fairly.
Curated for you
The collections that we stock are carefully curated by our in-house team. We make sure that the pieces we stock will suit our customers, their lifestyle and independent look. We introduce new lines when appropriate without ‘over ordering’ so the pieces that we stock are limited, to reduce the risk of waste stock. In the fast fashion industry new styles are brought out every week in the hope the customer will buy new pieces frequently to avoid looking ‘out of fashion’. Our ethos is to help you create a timeless style just for you, to wear year after year, full of pieces that are made ethically from sustainable fabrics and are built to last.
We believe that you should know who to support and why, that’s why we aim to be transparent at every point. We are a living wage payer, and believe in running our business fairly for everyone.
We love to hear from you in our stores as well as on social media and we aim to answer every question that you have for us. We also appreciate it when you leave reviews and recommendations and we know that our Sancho’s community is so supportive of us.
