Slow fashion is the antidote to the fast pace that has enveloped the fashion industry. A process that has become increasingly damaging to the earth and the people on it. At Sancho’s, we aim to make people think twice before buying, about where and how an item was produced. That is why we are excited to work with In Exeter to host the Slow Fashion Show during Style In Exeter Week this September.
The evening will start with a drinks reception underneath the canopy of the Cathedral arches, where guests will be invited to browse stalls and presentations from the South West’s sustainable business community. At 7pm, we will take our seats to enjoy Exeter’s first Slow Fashion Show. The last catwalk will consist of clothing provided by entrants to the Sustainable Design Awards, and after the show guest will be invited to vote for their favourite garments and designers. £1000 worth of prize money will be awarded to the winners.
The South West Sustainable Design Award will showcase how creative our corner of the country is, by offering the opportunity for designers, businesses and community groups to showcase their talents in creating a sustainable garment. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please click on the appropriate entry category below and submit your initial concept by Friday 31 August and the final garment Monday 10 September.

We are Sancho's - an Ethical Clothing and Lifestyle company based in Exeter, Devon.
Over the past 3 years we have worked to raise awareness around the challenges the fashion industry presents. How over production and unsafe working conditions are unsutainable, unjust and no longer acceptable.
This September we want to showcase the beauty, skill and craft of fashion and we want to do it together with the vibrant community around us. Together with In Exeter we are hosting the Slow Fashion Show in order to provide a space for local designers, makers, businesses, and community groups to showcase their lines.
We are grateful to In Exeter for joining in hosting this exciting event and for the Cathedral for honouring us with the space in which to host the show.
We hope to see you there
Kalkidan, Vidmantas and the Sancho's Team.
