The Tanuki card is a hand made illustrated design which is apart of the folklore series inspired by wonderful stories and poems from all around the UK.
On the back of each card is a small story which matches the beautiful drawing.
More than just a card this is perfect as a gift, either as a print or personalised as a card for a loved one or even kept as a present for yourself.
Writing on the back of the card;
The Tanuki is a mischievous shape-shifting raccoon. The Tanuki assumed human form with which they haunted and possessed people Therefore, Tanukis are considered omens of misfortune.
They are known to steal goods, especially, alcohol.
Many centuries in Japan, they evolved into irrepressible tricksters, aiming their illusory magic and mystifying belly-drum music at unwary travellers.
Today, the Tanuki are cheerful, loveable and benevolent rouges who bring prosperity and business success.
