This month I had the pleasure of inviting Ridi into the new Sancho's Studio to capture photos of her in our Organic collection featuring some of the current items on sale. Like myself Ridi is a global majority woman living and working in the South West, complete a data science and engineering degree whilst helping organisations to calculate and minimise their non-evironmentaly friendly activities.

This shoot I hope will be one of many to come as we work to put together the Sancho's Studio space (which will be accessible to creatives locally from 2024).

We started our shoot by choosing what our go to Autumn look would be, and of course that meant this neutral tartan skirt from People Tree. If you are not aware People Tree a pioneering sustainable brand are minimising their UK operations due to poor trading conditions driven by Brexit, Covid and the cost of living crisis. All made superbly and sure to wear well whilst People Tree navigate uncertain times and rebuild.

The silver lining ofcourse is the emergence of sustainable discourse and new brands. Aligne is one of these such brands, although their collection is not fully organic (as was the case for People Tree for many years), many items are and fresh and formal designs make their pieces uber wearable in 2023.

This blue shirt dress has been a personal favourite of mine for a while. In fact I'll be wearing it tomorrow to Devon Climate Emergency Task Force . The shirt dress is largely oversized but has a button clasp detail to the side that enables you to create a beautiful high waist and shaping.

We also played around with colour, and what is more autumnal and fun that a warm golden yellow. Ridi paired this dress with a wrap detail with a pair of her own. loafers

And of course we had fun with layers, a high waisted slip skirt with a t-shirt or jumper tucked into it.
