Girlfriend Collective strongly believe that plastic bottles look better on you than in landfill, that’s why their leggings and sports bras are often made from Recycled PET. This incredible fabric is created by crushing your old used water bottles into tiny pellets. These are then made into polyester, the main part of your activewear. Certified by the Taiwanese government, Girlfriend Collective make sure that no corners are cut when it comes to bringing you the best quality sustainable activewear.
It’s not just in the creation of the fabric that Girlfriend Collective value the environment, but in the dying process too. The wastewater from the dyes are treated at their own on-site water treatment facility, and only once the quality is up to a healthy standard can it be released. This helps both the wildlife in the surrounding area, and the communities who depend on the waterways for their daily life.
