You’ve been asking for ethically made, sustainable swimwear for a while now, and we are so excited to introduce you to The Nude Label – our newest brand at Sancho’s that make beautiful swimsuits you’ll enjoy through the summer and beyond!

So why haven’t we had sustainable swimwear before? Well it’s hard to make sustainable swimwear because the fabric (by our modern standards) has to be made from a more technical fabric that involves man-made fibres, has 4-way stretch, hugs your body and reacts to water in the right way! So developing a sustainable version of this is no easy feat. It has simply been a hard task to source swimwear we would be happy to stock at Sancho’s, but now we have found The Nude Label, that we hope is the answer to all your sustainable swimwear wishes!

The Nude Label is a Spanish brand that ethically creates swimwear in their family run factory ‘between mountains and orange fields’ in Valencia, Spain. Their whole collection is created in Spain, and they make sure the whole production team has a healthy and safe working environment, are being paid fairly, have freely chosen employment and have snacks and homemade pastries available anytime! Yum!

The Nude Label make all their swimwear from a special recycled polyamide fabric, made from fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from landfills and oceans all over the world - that waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all the nylon possible. This all then gets turned into a fabric that ends up as ECONYL® regenerated Nylon. This fabric is super special and perfect for swimwear because it is a quick drying high-performance fabric that is non-see-through, super elastic, and it ensures a perfect fit under any circumstances! Plus, it is pilling and abrasion resistant, because it is designed to remain just as beautiful over time.
